Immerse yourself in the rich culture, history, and vibrant life of Spain. This 5-day tour takes you through the bustling streets of Madrid, the serene beauty of Zaragoza, and the Mediterranean charm of Barcelona, including iconic landmarks, historical sites, and local experiences.
Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Free time to relax. You will receive information about the tour circuit during the afternoon, or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area. Towards the end of the day, enjoy transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España, and Gran Via, a vibrant district. Overnight in Madrid.
Experience the city on a guided tour, showcasing the vibrant center, the beautiful Plaza Mayor (Main Square), broad and magnificent avenues, many fountains, and a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. The tour includes a visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, a fine-looking building where you learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Vegetarian or Indian lunch is included. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset, transfers to Plaza de Oriente in the historic center of Madrid, opposite the Royal Palace. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Madrid.
In the morning, depart for Aragon over the lands of Castile. In Zaragoza, stop briefly to see the Pilar Basilica. Continue to the Monastery of Poblet, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). Proceed to the Monastery of Montserrat, ascending the mountain on a rack train to enjoy its fantastic scenery. Continue to Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon. Note: In the winter months, from November to March, due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited to reach Montserrat in daylight. Overnight in Barcelona.
Discover Barcelona, an impressive city on the Mediterranean Sea. The visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert. Explore the city's historic central area with its Gothic neighborhood dating back to the Middle Ages. Visit the area where the Olympic Games took place and see La Sagrada Familia basilica, the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Entry ticket to “Poble Espanyol” (Spanish Village), an open-air architectural museum, is included. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening, transfers to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area. Overnight in Barcelona.
After breakfast, check out and proceed to the airport for your flight back home. Arrive home with pleasant memories of your tour, which we are sure you will treasure for a lifetime.
